Donto Yaki （Donto Fire Ceremony） - Donto Yaki （Donto Fire Ceremony） is held in the beginning of January at Asakusa Jinja （Asakusa Shrine）. Prayers will burn their new year ornaments and amulets in a big fire to appreciate Kami （god） of new year. People circle around the fire, beating the ground with a bamboo stick, and shouting "Tondo! Tondo!" Eating Mochi （rice cake） roasted in the fire will bring you good health year-round.
